Episode Ten: Death by Two Dudes

OK, so we made it to ten episodes. In honor of this, it being Halloween today, and Sam and I feeling festive as all get-out, we're posting this episode with a new press photo of us. You'll notice it above, as it is a clear homage to a great American songwriter and his one-time sidekick.

To also commemorate Halloween, we present to you a show based on death. Some of our favorite artists singing about our inevitable demise. What better way to contemplate 'what happens next' than hearing The Kinks wax post mortem or a Neko Case ghostly lullaby? I don't know. Interspersed through the set are sections from George Carlin's bit, "Death and Dying," and Nick Sawrdson's bit, "Dying." Support the artists, be safe in your trick-or-treating, and don't eat too much corn on macabre. Heh.

Say Goodbye:

Intro) AC/DC "Hells Bells"
1) The Kinks "What's In Store for Me"
2) Morrissey "The First of the Gang to Die"
3) Ghostface Killah "I'll Die for You"
4) The Thermals "When I Died"
5) Datarock "Fear of Death"
6) Hank Williams "I'll Never Get Out of This World Alive"
7) Jarvis Cocker "I Will Kill Again"
8) Misfits "Death Comes Ripping"
9) Jay Reatard "Death is Forming"
10) Hot Snakes "Suicide Invoice"
11) The Band "Long Black Veil"
12) The Velvet Underground & Nico "Black Angel's Death Song"
Excerpt) Avery Gordon Ghostly Matters (read by Sam)
14) Neko Case "A Widow's Toast"

*Please hang in there with the audio at the beginning; we had minor malfunctions but they were fixed.
