Episode Nine: Around the World, Part 1

Ever feel like expanding your musical horizons? If you feel insufficient in this way, Two Dudes Radio may very well be your beacon of hope. Sam and I are dedicating a special series we're calling "Around the World" to exploring the globe, finding artists from each country, and representing them with a hand-picked song from your amateur hosts. This week we hit a handful of "obvious" selections but also throw in a few jams you may not have heard yet. As the list of countries thins, we're probably all going to get educated more than we know. We hope you enjoy the set, and please support the artists as you see fit.

Global Domination:

*Intro) Daft Punk "Around the World"
1) Flight of the Conchords "If You're Into It" (New Zealand)
2) Mew "Introducing Palace Players" (Denmark)
3) Mulatu Astatke "Munaye" (Ethiopia)
4) Lord Fly "When Mi Look Upon Janie So; Ada; Time So Hard" (Jamaica)
5) Marvelous Darlings "Careerist" (Canada)
6) Bikini Kill "Reject All American" (United States of America)
7) eastern youth "A Moonlit Lamb" (Japan)
8) Charlotte Gainsbourg "The Songs that We Sing" (France)
9) Gruff Rhys "Con CariƱo" (Wales)
10) The Twilight Sad "That Summer at Home I had Become the Invisible Boy" (Scotland)
11) Ungdomskulen "Feels Like Home" (Norway)
12) Monotonix "Body Language" (Israel)

*Yes, Daft Punk are from France, but they are here merely providing a theme song for our set, not representing a country.
