Episode Fifteen: A

On today's show, we musically look at the letter A. Yet another beginning to one of our many projects, we'll eventually get through the whole alphabet by playing bands or artists that start with the letter A (e.g. Arcade Fire, Fiona Apple, et al.).

By doing so, it also gave us a perfect reason to interview a great band from Gainesville, Florida called Anchor Arms. We talked to James, now playing guitar while singing, about their new album, Morning Pistol, set to come out mid-2010, what it's like to be grouped in such a popular and influential region, a couple of upcoming releases, a wonderful benefit they're playing soon, and influences ranging from Rocket From the Crypt to Fugazi to Screeching Weasel. The entire interview is included below. (Also, James mentioned his buddy does a podcast called Rocket Fuel. We had time to check it out, and it's worth the time. Go here.)

Sp please, check this one out, dig the Anchor Arms tunes along with the rest of the set, support these bands if you feel inclined to do so, and we'll check back in with you next week.
